Located between Ardabil and Gilan provinces and a part of Neor protected area, Neor Lake is the biggest freshwater lake in the province. Neor lake is a relatively shallow lake with a maximum depth of 5.5 meters. Springs nearby water the lake. Both springs and the lake are highly depending on annual precipitations.
